By Tomorrow will be two years since I pushed launch on this blog. I won’t have an opportunity to write this tomorrow. This post is a thank you to all the people who have helped make this blog possible. I hope you all will indulge me in these thank you’s and know I mean them from the bottom of my heart. The first goes to God: thank you for my life and my gifts. I hope my life is everything you’d want it to be. Even when I doubt, you show up. Thank you for loving me through everything, but most certainly when I mess up.
Thank you to my parents who believe in me when I don’t believe in myself. I love you both dearly. Thank you for everything. A special shoutout to dad without whose push this blog wouldn’t exist. He believes that my story matters, will help others, and I can make a good life for myself by telling it. Thank you, Dad. I’m proud to be your daughter and share your name.
The next thank you is to my brother/journey partner. You told me to write a book about my life. I decided to turn the book into this blog. You told me it would help people. I was scared, but I pushed launch anyway knowing you would have my back. Keeping it a surprise from EVERYBODY…including you until I pushed launch was purposeful. Watching interviews with my favorite authors revealed that is what they do as well to take the pressure of outside expectations off themselves. Doing it that way was the only way I could push launch without having anxiety. I wanted to surprise you and make you proud. Thank you for having my back every day since we were truly kids. Together the impossible is possible. I hope I accomplish my goal, daily. It’s my pleasure and honor to be your sister by choice. I’m so proud of you too.
To the rest of my chosen family: thank you all for the constant love and support every day. Thriving wouldn’t be possible without each of you. I love being your sister by choice. It’s truly the privilege of my life. Y’all make me brave. I’m proud of each of you! It is an honor to know and be truly known by each of you. I love you all. Let’s continue to light up the world, y’all,.. TOGETHER!
To everybody who loves and supports me of which there are too many to name: thank you all for your love, support, and encouragement daily. I feel all of it. I’m very blessed and grateful.
