How to Help Victims of Hurricane Helene and Milton

Seeing the devastation from hurricane Helene and hurricane Milton led me to wonder how I could help those in need from the storms. I thought many of you might be feeling the same way and so I wanted to put together a list of organizations better on the ground helping those affected by these hurricanes. I know the amount of information that we are receiving from news sources as far as help is concerned for these people can be overwhelming. In putting together this list, taking away the overwhelm is my goal. The organizations are listed below in no particular order with their websites, so each of you can go see what it is that they are doing on the ground and give if you feel led to.

  1. American Red cross: https://www.redcross.org/
  2. Salvation army: https://satruck.org/
  3. Feeding America: https://www.feedingamerica.org/
  4. World Central Kitchen: https://wck.org/
  5. Team Rubicon: https://teamrubiconusa.org/
  6. All Hands and Hearts: https://www.allhandsandhearts.org/

This is in no way an exhaustive list. I am sure that there are more organizations on the ground helping citizens in need after these natural disasters, but I wanted to give you all a list to get you started if you wanted to help
