I was not comfortable being myself most of my childhood and adolescence. Trying to fit in felt like twisting myself into a pretzel. I wasn’t one for going out or being reckless. My perfect evening usually consist of listening to my favorite music or watching my favorite movie. Not much has changed in that really to now because you’ll still find me listening to music or watching a movie after a hard day’s work most of the time.
For a long time I tried to fit in with my peers, but after life experience I realize I don’t want to fit in and do what everybody else is doing. First of all, I wouldn’t have anything to write or make a reel about if I was doing what everybody else was doing. To be honest for the most part I like being different. Do I wish certain task and movements were easier than they are? Yes of course but it doesn’t take away from the fact that I like my story and sharing it with all of you.
I like being open and honest with all you about my life because I want to help others overcome their own challenges. I found that’s really what I feel called to do through telling my own story. I want my blog and social media accounts associated with it to be a place where people find hope. My goal is starting to come to fruition and it’s amazing to see. I’m beyond grateful.
By being myself I’m helping others to feel comfortable being themselves and there’s nothing better than that. I want to encourage you all to embrace being uniquely yourselves. You never know who is going to be helped by you being comfortable in your own skin. By each one of you being yourselves you are going to encourage others to do the same. There is nothing better than that and it leads to a very fulfilling life.
