Why Sheryl Crow’s Music is Important to Me

If you’ve been following for a while, you know that the last six weeks or so has been hard in my family. While things are looking up, we’ve still got some hard stuff to walk through. Music always helps me process my feelings and work through them. I have been listening to an awful lot of Sheryl Crow the last few weeks. A few weeks ago, I had a virtual concert ticket to see Sheryl Crow in San Francisco. I love virtual concert tickets because it’s very easy to see and the tickets are reasonable. I knew the concert would be a good way to relieve some stress and have some fun and still be there for my family when they needed me.

I was right the concert was a lot of fun! Sheryl’s music helps calm me down because I love how much she loves to rock. Singing loud with her helps release stress. A bad day means you are likely to hear me singing along to “My Favorite Mistake, First Cut is the Deepest or her cover of “Sweet Child of Mine” just to name a few of my favorites. I find an electric guitar incredibly soothing.

The other thing her music allows me to do is release my emotions and because of the music being up no one can hear me crying. tears are not a sign of weakness. They are merely a processing tool. It is always a good idea to express your emotions in a healthy and safe way. Thank you, Sheryl, for sharing your music with the world, helping me get through hard times,  and motivating girls to rock out as hard as the guys.
